I sort of have mixed feelings about this episode. I liked it, because it wasn’t what I was expecting at all, and it had an ending that wasn’t an impossible happy ending that most shows (mainly American ones) do. But it also left a lot of plotholes and there was some characters that I would like to know more about their background and some general background parts (like why Gai made Funeral Parlour and how he met the members) and some things that I thought were dumb and didn’t make sense.

 So, at the beginning it went a bit how I expected it to, y’know with the fighting and stuff, but at the middle and continuing onward, I was surprised by it. For one, Kenji died, and I was a bit sad about that. I kow he was working for the enemy and all, but he had a cool character design and that smile at the end was awesome. I didn’t really understand that bit about the Da’ath, but nevermind that. It was great seeing the old Gai for one last time. It kind of reminded me that he wasn’t always bad or evil. It was kinda stupid that he died twice, in basically the same way, though.

 And Daryl! Poor Daryl loses another person, and then we never find out what happens to him! Actually, I didn’t know who the other guy was until I read some other reviews that called him Rowan. Well, it was nice of him to grab Daryl and get him out of there, but why didn’t he go too? No, instead of surviving, he went out and got killed when he could have hopped in the elevator with Daryl. What an idiot.

 I cried when Shu lost Inori, but I was kinda happy that he died with her, until the end when I found out that he lived. I was happy for that too, of course, although at first I didn’t know why. Then I thought about how Inori was blind at the end and Shu absorbed all the Voids and cancer (including hers), so it made sense. And then the sad song at the end… I wish it was Bios, ‘cause I love that song, but Euterpe was cool, too.

 One last thing before I go, how do robots have babies? That made no sense at all to me. Oh, and did anyone else immediately think of Daryl when they saw the birthday cake? I was really hoping it was his and that he’d joined them…
